Technology at LCCS covers a wide range of topics - from the basics of using a computer, to intelligent Internet search techniques; from safe Internet surfing to coding.

Students in Grades 1-5 take dedicated technology classes, and begin using Chrometablets in Kindergarten and Chromebooks in 1st Grade. Technology coordinator Kimberley Smith also teachers a Middle School Wingspan Arts course on coding.

Our Technology courses are also a Makerspace - where students create using everyday materials, such as straws and paper plates - as well as gears, pulleys, motors, circuitry and and robots, depending on the grade level.

In the classroom most teachers utilize Promethean Interactive boards to display Internet content, and to allow students and teachers to work collaboratively. By 5th Grade, most student work is completed on Google Classroom.
