Weekly assignment: 

El diario ( Spanish blog). 

This assignment will help us practice vocabulary, writing, and Spanish comprehension. 

Students will be asked to write a weekly blog where they will be expressing their thoughts, feelings, or just talk about their week. They can also share something interesting they may have heard or seen on the tv, news, social media, etc. This blog is designed to create connections, and at the same time practice our Languages skills. 

This assignment must be done on edublog. 

All students should create their own username and must join our spanish class. The teacher will provide the login information. The invitation code to login into the class will be posted on google classroom. 

Vocabulary quiz: Every day before class starts, students will be asked to create a list of 5 vocabulary words in their notebook. After every student finishes with their 5 words, they will be called to the board to write down 1 of their favorite words from the vocabulary list. All students will be required to add those vocabulary words to their notebook as well. The last day of class every week, students will be tested with a vocabulary quiz that will contain vocabulary words from this activity. 

Spanish in class: 

This year, we will be implementing the target language ( Spanish ) in class in more depth. Permissions to the Bathroom, basic questions, homework, projects, presentations, etc, must be done ONLY in Spanish. Instructions will be given in both languages. 

Spanish notebook check:

This will be a weekly assignment. All class notes must be added to this notebook. Notebook check will go towards your class participation grade. 

Class participation: 

Class participation is crucial in Spanish class. 25% of the overall grade will be taken from class participation. 

Phone policy: 

Phones will not be tolerated in Spanish class, unless the  teacher allows them. If a phone gets taken away, you will have to pick them up at the end of the school day! After 3 times, parents will be notified, and Will be asked to come to the school to pick up the phone
